Loading bays · canopies · façades · halls
Bird netting for warehouses and buildings
We net off the voids where pigeons roost, at loading bays, under canopies, in hall roof structures and on façades, and clean the area before fitting.
Scope of work
- Netting on perimeter cable under canopies and in roof structures
- Closing off voids in façades, recesses and plant balconies
- Spikes and post-and-wire on ledges, beams and sills
- Cleaning droppings before installation
- Net inspections at agreed intervals
Worth knowing
A properly fitted net does not harm birds: it simply keeps them out. Nets are never installed over active nests.
Results depend on closing every gap; a net with a single opening left will not solve the problem.
How the job runs
-
Survey
We see where the birds roost, how they get in and how large the voids are.
-
The right system
Net, spikes or wire, depending on the surface and how visible it can be.
-
Clean and install
We clear the droppings, fit the perimeter cable and tension the net.
-
Check
We make sure no gaps remain and hand over with photos.
Rope access, scaffold or crane?
We choose the method after the site visit. If a scaffold or a MEWP suits your job better, the quote will say so.
| Criterion | Rope access | Scaffold | Crane / MEWP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobilisation time | hours, once the plan is approved | days to erect and strike | depends on plant and permits |
| Reach into tight areas | good: interiors, façades, steelwork | limited by building geometry | limited by boom reach |
| Ground footprint | minimal, exclusion zone only | for the whole job | outriggers and a cordon |
| Impact on operations | low, work runs section by section | high around the scaffold | medium, with traffic restrictions |

Frequently asked questions
How is the price set if you do not publish rates?
It depends on the area to close off, the height, how the net is fixed to the structure, the amount of cleaning needed and how discreet the net has to be.
Will the net be visible on the façade?
Nets come in different colours and mesh sizes. On façades we choose the most discreet options; at loading bays and inside halls, strength matters more.
What if the pigeons are already inside the hall?
The birds must be out before the area is closed. We plan the installation so that none are left inside.
Do the nets need maintenance?
We recommend periodic checks, especially after storms, for cable tension and any tears.
