Work at height for agriculture and the food industry
Grain silos, hoppers, feed mills and processing halls: planned work scheduled around the harvest and the site’s hygiene rules.
What we see in the sector
Banks of steel or concrete silos, elevators and conveyors at height, steel-framed halls with large roofs where dust and birds are a constant problem.
The working window is set by the season: before harvest the silos must be clean and checked, and once the campaign starts a shutdown is no longer an option.
How we fit in
- We schedule work before or after the harvest campaign
- We follow the site’s hygiene and access rules
- Inside silos we only work once the client has isolated the installation
- We coordinate with the site’s health and safety lead

Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to book silo cleaning?
A few weeks before harvest, so there is time for any repairs found during cleaning.
Do you work on sites with food safety requirements?
Yes. The site’s rules, including clothing and access, are written into the method statement.
Can you do several silos in one mobilisation?
Yes, and it brings the cost per silo down. We plan them in the order they can be emptied.
